New UK Travel Requirements

영국의 새로운 여행 요건

 

 

[ Part 1 ]

Starting this week, the United Kingdom is implementing a new electronic travel authorization system for visitors from numerous countries, including the United States and Canada.

이번 주부터 영국이 미국과 캐나다를 포함한 다수 국적의 방문객들을 대상으로 새로운 전자 여행 허가 시스템을 시행한다.

 

The requirement, which follows similar system in other nations, will mandate pre-travel authorization for those entering from countries that previously didn’t require visas.

다른 국가에서 이미 시행 중인 시스템과 유사한 조치로, 이전에는 비자가 필요하지 않았던 국가에서 입국하는 사람들도 사전에 여행 허가를 받아야 한다.

 

This digital permit carries a fee of approximately twelve dollars and applies to all travellers.

이 같은 디지털 허가는 약 12달러의 수수료가 부과되며 모든 여행객에게 적용된다.

 

[ Part 2 ]

The program, which began with several Middle Eastern countries in 2024, is now expanding to include dozens more nations.

2024년 중동 국가를 대상으로 처음 도입된 이 프로그램은 이제 수십 개 국가로 더 확대된다.

 

The electronic system serves as a pre-screening measure, though travellers will still need to clear immigration upon arrival.

해당 전산 시스템은 사전 심사의 역할을 하지만, 여행객들은 여전히 도착 후 입국 심사를 통과해야 한다.

 

This initiative mirrors similar requirements already in place for European Union visitors and will be *reciprocated in the future.

이번 조치는 유럽 연합(EU) 방문객들에게 이미 시행되고 있는 요건과 유사하며, 향후 상호 적용될 예정이다.

[ Part 3 ]

The authorization is not required for individuals who already possess visas or those authorized to live, work, or study in the country.

이미 비자를 소지하고 있거나 영국 내에서 거주, 근무, 학업 등의 허가를 받은 사람들은 이번 허가 요건이 불필요하다.

 

This measure represents a growing global trend toward digital pre-screening of international travellers.

이러한 조치는 국제 여행객에 대한 디지털 사전 심사가 점점 확산되고 있는 글로벌 트렌드를 잘 보여 준다.

 

Various countries are now adopting similar system to beef up border security and streaming entry.

여러 국가들이 국경 보안을 강화하고 입국 절차를 간소화하기 위해 현재 유사한 시스템을 도입하고 있다.
